LS10 Gallery offers a unique opportunity to explore the rich currents of contemporary Persian art, both within Iran and internationally. This curated selection of artworks challenges preconceived notions about Iranian society and beyond, showcasing a profound intelligence.

In September 2001, I travelled to Iran with my father's 1972 Nikon F1 camera. My fascination with the architecture of its monumental mosques, which are unique to Persian culture, inspired my visit. During my stay, I experienced the people and culture with a mix of unexpected familiarity and genuine awe at the visual and literary sophistication present in both its past and present.

I have a strong background in film and television as a computer graphics artist, producing industry-level images that have won Oscars and various media awards. In addition to a BA in Arabic and Hebrew studies, which I earned in Barcelona, I trained at Christie’s Education, UAL: Central Saint Martins, and Sotheby’s in London to transition my skills into the art world.

Despite facing internal and international challenges, the art scene in Iran remains dynamic, even as the fear of another military escalation looms in the hearts of many. However, it can be difficult to access for those without direct connections. LS10 Gallery seeks to bridge this gap primarily through the medium of photography. Our goal is to present a diverse array of voices to audiences beyond Iran, showcasing as much variety and freedom as possible.
