Unique pieces.
Alikhan Abdollahi (born 1963 in Bamyan, Afghanistan) moved to Tehran about 30 years ago. He initially worked as a mason while living in a building where he served as the caretaker. In the early 2000s, he met Hasan Hazer Moshar, whose influence drew Alikhan's interest toward papier-mâché sculptures. Hasan, being a master in the craft, taught him the techniques, and since then, Alikhan has been dedicated to this art form. He currently lives and works in Tehran. According to Outsider Art, his body of work is categorized as self-taught and primitive art.
